Ask and Answer Questions

Good readers ask questions as they read. Sometimes the answers
can be found in the story. Other times readers must use what they
already know to answer the questions.

Follow these steps when reading:

    1. Start with a question word, such as who, what, where,
      when, why,
      or how.
    2. Think about how you can find the answer.
    3. Answer your question.

Now look at a model to see how to ask and answer questions
as you read.
